The Community Focus Group will consist of up to 13 members appointed by Council, reflecting a balanced volunteer profile representing a cross-section of the community, ideally including representation from the following categories:

Residents / Landowners: 2–3
Business / Industry Owners: 2
Community Organizations: 2–3 (1 per organization max)
Developer Representative: 1 (may be appointed by participating landowners)

- The CFG is part of a broader public engagement strategy including public consultation and agency coordination
- Members are expected to participate collaboratively with an open-minded, long-term planning perspective
- The group contributes advisory input only; final decisions rest with Council
- The Secondary Plan will guide long-term growth and be incorporated into the Town’s Official Plan through a Planning Act amendment
- The planning process emphasizes: Complete communities; Sustainability; Compatibility of land uses; and Efficient infrastructure planning
