The Committee's mandate is to operate independently of Council as a statutory body to consider applications for minor variances from the Town's Zoning By-law and to consider applications for consent, consent cancellation, validation of title, easements and extension or enlargement of legal non-conforming uses.
As per By-law No. 10-2016, the Committee does not consider uncontested consent applications for leases, mortgages, and easements as that authority is delegated to the Director of Community and Development Services.
